What do I treat?

First of of all, let’s ask ourselves: what do people seek out acupuncture for? The first thing that come to mind is: PAIN. And yes, acupuncture is justly known for being extremely effective at relieving pain (back, neck, hip, shoulder, knee pain), But how about all the other conditions acupuncture can treat and improve? The World Health Organization lists over 43 disorders that can be treated by acupuncture, so let’s take a look at this long and comprehensive list, which includes:

  • Allergies and asthma
  • Headache and migraines
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Addiction
  • Digestive disorders
  • infertility
  • Gynecological problems
  • Hypertension
  • Chronic fatigue

As you can see. that’s a broad spectrum of health issues. But there is more. On top of improvements in the symptoms people have sought acupuncture, I have also seen that my patients experience the following

  • They tend to get sick less often and recover more quickly
  • Their vitality and stamina improves
  • They are better able to take care of their own health
  • Health problems other than those for which they sought treatment are likely to cleap up
  • They see a reduction in long terms health care costs
  • They feel more connected to their bodies

So as you can see, acupuncture can do so much more than just treating pain.
